Contraindications

Tamiflu should not be prescribed in the following cases:

  1. Patients who are hypersensitive or allergic to oseltamivir or the non-actove ingredients of the pill.

  2. Patients with kidney disease need a different dosing schedule - ask your doctor for advice.

  3. Women who are pregnant or lactating should not take Tamiflu as effects on the nursing baby or unborn child are unknown.

This list should not be taken solely as a guide - there may well be other classes of patients who are contraindicated to the prescription of Tamiflu.
